AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE CAPITAL DISTRICT TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE REGARDING RESURFACING AND SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS TO CR151 (ALBANY SHAKER ROAD)

                     By Public Works Committee and Mr. Simpson:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Public Works has requested authorization to submit an application to the Capital District Transportation Committee regarding Federal 2022-2027 Transportation Improvement Program funding for an amount of up to $5,500,000 regarding two bridge rehabilitation projects, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated the grant funding will be used for resurfacing and safety improvements to CR151 (Albany Shaker Road), now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to submit an application to the Capital District Transportation Committee regarding Federal 2022-2027 Transportation Improvement Program funding for an amount of up to $5,500,000 regarding the aforementioned bridge rehabilitation projects, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said grant application as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
