AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE MOHAWK HUDSON LAND CONSERVANCY REGARDING THE INSTALLATION OF A LITTLE ART GALLERY ON THE ALBANY COUNTY RAIL TRAIL IN DELMAR

WHEREAS, The Albany County Executive has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy regarding the installation of a Little Art Gallery on the Albany County Rail Trail in Delmar at no cost to the County, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that the Little Art Gallery, a fully enclosed outdoor structure presenting rotating exhibitions of contemporary art, will be provided and installed by the Art on the Rail Trail (ART) Committee of the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy at the western side of the trail’s intersection of Hudson Avenue and Adams Street in Delmar, and
WHEREAS, The Little Art Gallery will be owned and maintained by the ART Committee at no cost to the County, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy regarding the installation of a Little Art Gallery on the Albany County Rail Trail in Delmar at no cost to the County, and be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
