AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH REGARDING REIMBURSEMENT FOR ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS PERTAINING TO THE EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM

                     By Social Services Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Children, Youth and Families has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) regarding reimbursement of administrative costs related to the implementation of the Early Intervention Program in an amount not to exceed $114,851 for a term commencing October 1, 2019 and ending September 30, 2020, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner has further indicated Albany County will have the ability to claim State reimbursement for administrative costs pertaining to the provision of Early Intervention services for children under the age of three with a confirmed disability or established developmental delay as defined by the state, now, therefore be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with NYSDOH regarding reimbursement for administrative costs related to the implementation of the Early Intervention Program in an amount not to exceed $114,851 for a term commencing October 1, 2019 and ending September 30, 2020, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate State and County Officials.
