AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE NEW YORK STATE DIVISION OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY SERVICES REGARDING THE 2021 STATEWIDE INTEROPERABILITY COMMUNICATIONS GRANT

WHEREAS, The Albany County Sheriff has requested authorization to submit a grant application to the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services regarding the 2021 Statewide Interoperability Communications Grant-Formula Based Funding, and
WHEREAS, The Sheriff has indicated that no County match is required and that the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services funding, if awarded, will be used to offset costs associated with the 911 interoperable communications system, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to submit a grant application to the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services regarding the 2021 Statewide Interoperability Communications Grant-Formula Based Funding, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said application as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
