AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE BOARD OF ELECTIONS REGARDING THE 2026 ELECTION GRANT

WHEREAS, The Commissioners of the Board of Elections have requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Board of Elections regarding the 2026 Election Grant in the amount of $48,753 for the term commencing April 1, 2026 and ending March 31, 2027, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioners have indicated that this grant provides reimbursement for election expenses such as temporary staff, poll site supplies, election equipment, and public awareness campaigns, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Board of Elections regarding the 2026 Election Grant in the amount of $48,753 for the term commencing April 1, 2026 and ending March 31, 2027, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
