AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH BUSPATROL AMERICA, LLC REGARDING SCHOOL BUS STOP ARM CAMERA SERVICES

 

                     Introduced: 12/8/25

By Public Safety Committee, Commisso, Beston, Efekoro, Ethier, Lane, Collins, Lockart and Miller:

 

                     WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 374 for 2021, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with BusPatrol America, LLC (BusPatrol) regarding school bus stop arm camera services for a term commencing October 15, 2021 and ending October 14, 2025, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to enter into the first of five one-year options to renew the aforementioned agreement with BusPatrol regarding school bus stop arm camera services for the term commencing October 15, 2025 and ending October 14, 2026, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that the agreement will include new clauses related to the approval of business rules questionnaires and the collection of outstanding citations and that the revenue split will change from 60% BusPatrol and 40% County to 55% BusPatrol and 45% County beginning in the third year of the five one-year options to renew, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into the first of five one-year options to renew the agreement with BusPatrol America, LLC, Lorton, VA 22079 regarding school bus stop arm camera services for the term commencing October 15, 2025 and ending October 14, 2026, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
