AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH CAYUGA CENTERS REGARDING RESTORATIVE CASE MANAGEMENT PREVENTION SERVICES

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Cayuga Centers regarding the provision of restorative case management prevention services in an amount not to exceed $185,861 for a term commencing January 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2025, with two additional one-year options to renew, and

 

WHEREAS, DCYF, in collaboration with the Department of Probation and the County Purchasing Agent, issued a request for proposals for Prevention Services and after a scoring process, Cayuga Centers was awarded the contract, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that the Cayuga Centers Restorative Case Management Program is a home and community-based program designed specifically to provide juvenile justice-involved youth ages seven to seventeen in Albany County with an alternative to detention through the provision of intensive case management, restorative justice efforts, and motivational interviewing, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Cayuga Centers, Auburn, NY 13021 regarding the provision of restorative case management prevention services in an amount not to exceed $185,861 for a term commencing January 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2025, with two additional one-year options to renew, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
