RESOLUTION NO. 231

 

AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY AT 517 FIRST ST. (TAX MAP NO. 65.47-2-29) IN THE CITY OF ALBANY

By Audit and Finance Committee:

 

WHEREAS, The County of Albany has acquired through “in rem” foreclosure title to a parcel of real property located at 517 First St. (Tax Map No. 65.47-2-29) in the City of Albany, and

 

WHEREAS, Chris LaGray, the abutting property owner, has expressed an interest in acquiring the parcel for $500, and intends to clean up and maintain the parcel, and

 

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 141 for 2025, this Honorable Body adopted an Updated Disposition Plan for Real Property Acquired through the In Rem Delinquent Tax Foreclosure Process, and

 

WHEREAS, § 360-41(c) of the Updated Disposition Plan allows for properties to be sold to abutting or adjacent property owners, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to execute on behalf of the County any and all documents necessary to convey properties located at 517 First St. (Tax Map No. 65.47-2-29) in the City of Albany to Chris LaGray for $500, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That Chris LaGray shall be responsible for all closing costs at the time of closing, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said conveyance as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
