AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF ALBANY REGARDING POLICE ATTENDANCE AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES AT THE TAKE BACK THE NIGHT RALLY AND MARCH

WHEREAS, The Director of the Albany County Crime Victim and Sexual Violence Center (CVSVC) has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the City of Albany regarding traffic and crowd control and emergency medical services to be provided by the Albany Police Department and the Albany Fire Department at the 39th Annual “Take Back the Night” rally and march against sexual violence on Thursday, April 23, 2020, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The “Take Back the Night” rally and march aims to raise awareness and encourage community mobilization regarding sexual and domestic violence, now, therefore be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the City of Albany, Albany, NY 12207 regarding traffic and crowd control and emergency medical services to be provided by the Albany Police Department and the Albany Fire Department at the 39th Annual “Take Back the Night” rally and march against sexual violence on Thursday, April 23, 2020, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
