RESCINDING AUTHORIZATION TO CONVEY REAL PROPERTY PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO. 439 FOR 2020 AND AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF 246 ELK STREET (TAX MAP NO. 65.72-3-20) AND 250 ELK STREET (TAX MAP NO. 65.72-3-19) IN THE CITY OF ALBANY

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 439 for 2020, this Honorable Body authorized the conveyance of various parcels of real property acquired through in rem foreclosure to the Albany County Land Bank Corporation, including 246 Elk Street (Tax Map No. 65.72-3-20) and 250 Elk Street (Tax Map No. 65.72-3-19) in the City of Albany, and
WHEREAS, Rethink Possible Initiative Inc., a not-for-profit corporation, has expressed an interest in acquiring these parcels, and have indicated plans to clean up and rehabilitate these properties to help provide families and individuals with a comfortable home, and
WHEREAS, The Albany County Real Property Disposition Plan, adopted by Resolution No. 29 for 2019, implemented procedures for properties to be sold to not-for-profit/non-profit entities for use for a public purpose, now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature, that Resolution No. 439 for 2020 is hereby amended by rescinding the authorization to convey 246 Elk Street (Tax Map No. 65.72-3-20) and 250 Elk Street (Tax Map No. 65.72-3-19) in the City of Albany, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Executive is authorized to execute on behalf of the County any documents necessary to convey 246 Elk Street (Tax Map No. 65.72-3-20) and 250 Elk Street (Tax Map No. 65.72-3-19) in the City of Albany, to Rethink Possible Initiative Inc., 83 Henry Johnson Blvd. Albany, NY 12210, for the amount of $1, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That Rethink Possible Initiative Inc.shall be responsible for all closing costs as well as any and all water, sewer, municipal charges, and real estate taxes billed on and after September 1, 2021, and, be it further...
