AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH JOHNSON CONTROLS FIRE PROTECTION, LP REGARDING FIRE ALARM AND SPRINKLER TESTING IN VARIOUS COUNTY FACILITIES

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of General Services has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Johnson Controls Fire Protection, LP regarding the inspection and testing of fire alarms and sprinkler systems in various County facilities in an amount not to exceed $200,000 for a term commencing May 1, 2025 and ending April 30, 2028, and

 

WHEREAS, The Department of General Services, through the Purchasing Agent, received four bids and Johnson Controls Fire Protection, LP was deemed the lowest qualified bidder, and 

 

WHEREAS, Fire protection inspections are necessary to protect both the public and County employees from harm, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP, Clifton Park, NY 12065 regarding the inspection and testing of fire alarms and sprinkler systems in various County facilities in an amount not to exceed $200,000 for a term commencing May 1, 2025 and ending April 30, 2028, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
