AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE GOVERNOR’S TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMITTEE REGARDING THE 2025 POLICE TRAFFIC SERVICES GRANT

By Public Safety Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Sheriff has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee regarding the 2025 Police Traffic Services Grant in the amount of $12,000 for the term commencing October 1, 2025 and ending September 30, 2026, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Sheriff has indicated that the funding will be used to support traffic safety enforcement in Albany County, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee regarding the 2025 Police Traffic Services Grant in the amount of $12,000 for the term commencing October 1, 2025 and ending September 30, 2026, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
