RESOLUTION NO. 587

 

AUTHORIZING A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH HILTON ALBANY REGARDING THE LEASE OF 81 PARKING SPACES

By Public Works Committee:

 

WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to enter into a lease agreement with Hilton Albany regarding the lease of 81 parking spaces in an amount not to exceed $218,700 for a term commencing August 1, 2024 and ending August 31, 2025 with an option to extend the lease by six months, and

 

WHEREAS, The lease agreement will provide parking spaces for County and Court staff during the Spruce Street Garage renovation project which is expected to be completed in 12 to 18 months, and

 

WHEREAS, If the project extends beyond one year, the proposed lease agreement provides for the option to extend the term for an additional six months at the same monthly rate, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into a lease agreement with Hilton Albany, Albany, NY 12207 regarding the lease of 81 parking spaces in an amount not to exceed $218,700 for a term commencing August 1, 2024 and ending August 31, 2025 with an option to extend the lease by six months, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said lease agreement as to form and content prior to the execution thereof, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
