APPOINTING A COUNTY LEGISLATOR TO REPRESENT THE 21ST LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT

By Feeney, Cunningham and Willingham:
WHEREAS, There exists a vacancy on the Albany County Legislature from the 21st Legislative District following the resignation of Jennifer Whalen to serve as Colonie Town Judge, and
WHEREAS, Section 205 of the Albany County Charter provides that the vacancy shall be filled by appointment by a majority of the remaining members of the Legislature, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the County of Albany, that Kenneth C. Weafer, Colonie, New York, be, and hereby is, appointed County Legislator from the 21st Legislative District for a term commencing immediately and ending December 31, 2026, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature be and hereby is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
