AMENDING THE 2022 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS BUDGET:  CONSOLIDATED LOCAL STREET AND HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CHIPS), PAVE NY, AND EXTREME WINTER RECOVERY (EWR) FUNDING

                     By Public Works Committee:

                     

                     WHEREAS, The County has been informed by the New York State Department of Transportation that the County has cumulative funds in the amount of $3,522,659 remaining in its State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2022-2023 allotment, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The remaining $3,522,659 in SFY 2020-2021 CHIPS, PAVE-NY and EWR Capital Reimbursement funds has not been previously accounted for as revenue for 2022, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Public Works has requested a budget amendment in order to utilize the aforementioned remaining funds in the Department Budget, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the 2022 Department of Public Works Budget is amended as follows:

 

                     Increase Revenue Account D3591 Highway Capital Project by $3,522,659

 

Increase Appropriation Account D5112.4 by $3,522,659 by increasing Line Item D5112 4 4075 Bridge and Road Repair by $3,522,659

 

and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
