AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE NEW YORK STATE COUNCIL ON THE ARTS REGARDING A CAPITAL PROJECTS GRANT FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE SHAKER MEETING HOUSE

WHEREAS, The Executive Director of the Shaker Heritage Society has requested authorization to submit a grant application to the New York State Council on the Arts regarding a capital projects grant for the Shaker Meeting House in an amount of $125,000 for a term commencing March 1, 2025 and ending July 31, 2027, and

 

WHEREAS, The Executive Director has indicated that the aforementioned grant funds will be utilized to enhance accessibility in accordance with the American Disability Act and make various improvements to the facility, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to submit a grant application to the New York State Council on the Arts in an amount of $125,000 for a term commencing March 1, 2025 and ending July 31, 2027, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said grant application as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
