AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS WITH FOUR MUNICIPALITIES TO SUPPORT THE MOVE YOUR WAY ALBANY COUNTY INITIATIVE

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Health has requested authorization to enter into agreements with four municipalities to support the Move Your Way Albany County initiative in an amount not to exceed $12,000 per municipality for the term commencing April 15, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that the New York State Department of Health will identify the Albany County communities as a priority and eligible to benefit from assessments to improve community-built environments and to promote physical activity based on the Area Deprivation Index, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has also indicated that these contracts will be funded by the American Rescue Plan Act now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into agreements with four municipalities to support the Move Your Way Albany County initiative in an amount not to exceed $12,000 per municipality for the term commencing April 15, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreements as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
