AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH RONCO SPECIALIZED SYSTEMS REGARDING A NURSE CALL INTEGRATION SYSTEM FOR SHAKER PLACE REHABILITATION AND NURSING CENTER

By Audit and Finance Committee:

 

WHEREAS, The Executive Director of the Albany County Department of Residential Health Care Facilities has requested a contract for a Nurse Call Integration System for the Shaker Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, including handsets, batteries, belt clips, desktop chargers and power supplies, as well as all setup and software costs, and

 

                     WHEREAS, This equipment is considered sole source, as it is the only product that can integrate with the Ronco Resident Call Bell System currently in use at the Shaker Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, and

 

WHEREAS, The Executive Director has requested legislative approval of an agreement with Ronco for a five (5) year term, in a total amount of $115,000, commencing August 1, 2021 and ending July 31, 2026, now, therefore, be it

                     

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an initial agreement for a three year term, with Ronco, Latham, New York 12110 for a Nurse Call Integration System for the Shaker Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in an amount not to exceed $115,000, commencing August 1, 2021 and ending July 31, 2026, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
