AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE FOR THE PREVENTION OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE REGARDING THE PANDEMIC EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE FUND GRANT PROGRAM AND AMENDING THE 2022 DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE BUDGET

WHEREAS, The Albany County District Attorney has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence regarding the Pandemic Emergency Assistance Fund grant program in the amount of $187,723 for the term commencing March 1, 2022 and ending May 31, 2022, and
WHEREAS, The District Attorney has indicated that this funding will be used to assist in the relocation of domestic violence victims, and
WHEREAS, The District Attorney has also requested a budget amendment in order to incorporate this funding into the 2022 District Attorney’s Office Budget, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence regarding the Pandemic Emergency Assistance Fund grant program in the amount of $187,723 for the term commencing March 1, 2022 and ending May 31, 2022, and, be it
RESOLVED, That the 2022 District Attorney’s Office Budget is hereby amended as follows:
Increase Revenue Account A4389 Other Public Safety Revenues by $187,723
Increase Appropriation Account A1165.4 by $187,723 by increasing Line Item A1165 4 4046 Fees for Services by $187,723
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
