ADOPTING THE ALBANY COUNTY CAPITAL PROGRAM FOR 2027-2031

By Audit and Finance Committee:
WHEREAS, The Albany County Charter § 609(b) requires the Albany County Legislature to adopt the Capital Program each year, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has prepared and submitted a five-year Capital Program for 2027-2031 to this Honorable Body which includes a summary of projects, a list of all capital improvements proposed to be undertaken during the next five fiscal years, cost estimates and recommended time schedules for each improvement, and the proposed methods of financing the facilities to be constructed or acquired, and
WHEREAS, The Clerk of the Legislature published a summary of the Capital Program and public hearing notice in the official newspapers stating the times and locations where copies of the Capital Program have been available for inspection by the public, and
WHEREAS, This Honorable Body held said public hearing on April 28, 2026, as published, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the 2027-2031 Capital Program as set forth in the published summary is hereby adopted by this Honorable Body, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
