RESOLUTION NO. 10

 

AUTHORIZING A SHARED SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES AND THE MUNICIPALITIES IN ALBANY COUNTY

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of General Services has requested authorization to enter into shared services agreements with the Department of General Services and the municipalities in Albany County, and

 

WHEREAS, Agreements will be made with the cities of Albany, Cohoes, and Watervliet, along with the towns of Berne, Bethlehem, Coeymans, Colonie, Guilderland, Knox, New Scotland, Rensselaerville, and Westerlo, and the villages of Altamont, Colonie, Green Island, Menands, Ravena, and Voorheesville individually, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that these agreements will streamline shared services by outlining the terms and conditions under which equipment and services can be made available and providing a formalized process that will foster greater collaboration among municipalities, improve service delivery and reduce operational cost, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to execute a shared services agreements with the Department of General Services and the municipalities in Albany County, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreements as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
