AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE ALTAMONT PROGRAM, INC. REGARDING A CODE BLUE WARMING CENTER

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Social Services has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the Altamont Program, Inc. regarding a Code Blue Warming Center located at 45 South Ferry Street in the City of Albany in an amount not to exceed $252,200 for a term commencing December 1, 2023 and ending April 30, 2024, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that the Code Blue Warming Center will provide a low-barrier shelter option for up to 25 homeless adults during Code Blue Season who are unable to engage with established shelter services and experience difficulty finding accommodations, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the Altamont Program, Inc., Schenectady, NY 12304, regarding a Code Blue Warming Center located at 45 South Ferry Street in the City of Albany in an amount not to exceed $252,200 for a term commencing December 1, 2023 and ending April 30, 2024, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
