RESOLUTION NO. 481

 

AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CAPITAL REGION WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD REGARDING JOB READINESS TRAINING FOR INDIVIDUALS RELEASED FROM THE ALBANY COUNTY CORRECTIONAL FACILITY AND CLIENTS OF THE SHERIFF'S HOMELESS IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

                     WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the Capital Region Workforce Development Board regarding comprehensive support and job readiness training to individuals released from the Albany County Correctional Facility as well as clients of the Sheriff’s Homeless Improvement Program in an amount not to exceed $137,500 for a term commencing September 1, 2024 and ending August 31, 2025, and

 

WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that this partnership promises to yield significant benefits by reducing recidivism and fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment for all residents of Albany County, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the Capital Region Workforce Development Board, Troy, NY 12180 regarding comprehensive support and job readiness training to individuals released from the Albany County Correctional Facility as well as clients of the Sheriff’s Homeless Improvement Program in an amount not to exceed $137,500 for a term commencing September 1, 2024 and ending August 31, 2025, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
