AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO AND AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE DIVISION OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY SERVICES REGARDING THE EMERGENCY SERVICES IP NETWORK READINESS GRANT PROGRAM AND AMENDING THE 2026 SHERIFF'S OFFICE BUDGET

                     WHEREAS, The Sheriff has requested authorization to submit a grant application to and enter into an agreement with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services regarding the Combined SFY 2024, 2025 and 2026 Emergency Services IP Network Readiness Grant Program in the amount of $689,655 for the term commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2030, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Sheriff has also requested to amend the 2026 Sheriff’s Office Budget to incorporate the funding, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to submit a grant application to and enter into an agreement with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services regarding the Combined SFY 2024, 2025 and 2026 Emergency Services IP Network Readiness Grant Program in the amount of $689,655 for the term commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2030, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the 2026 Sheriff’s Office Budget is amended as follows:

 

 

and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
