RESOLUTION NO. 68

 

AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 230 REMSEN STREET (TAX MAP NO. 10.67-5-16) IN THE CITY OF COHOES

 

                     Introduced: 2/10/20

                     By Audit and Finance Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The County of Albany has acquired through in rem foreclosure title to a parcel of real property located at 230 Remsen Street ( Tax Map No. 10.67-5-16) in the City of Cohoes, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Cohoes Industrial Development Agency has expressed an interest in acquiring the property, and intendeds to develop this and other parcels in order to restore Remsen Street, and

                     

                     WHEREAS, The Albany County Real Property Disposition Plan, adopted by Resolution No. 29 for 2019, implemented procedures for properties to be sold to municipalities for use for a governmental purpose, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to execute on behalf of the County any documents necessary to convey 230 Remsen Street (Tax Map No. 10.67-5-16) in the City of Cohoes to Cohoes Industrial Development Agency, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said conveyance as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
