MAKING A SEQR DETERMINATION AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF VARIOUS PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE FORMER ST. ROSE CAMPUS IN THE CITY OF ALBANY

By Audit and Finance Committee:
WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to purchase the following parcels of real property located at the former St. Rose Campus in the City of Albany for $5,700,000:
985 Madison Avenue (formerly known as St. Joseph's Hall);
979 Madison Avenue (formerly known as Moran Hall); and
1020 Madison Avenue (formerly known as the Michelle Cuozzo Borisenok Women's Leadership Institute)
and,
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that said purchases will allow for the relocation of various County operations including but not limited to the County Legislature's Legislative Chambers and Offices, and various County Executive Offices and other departments, and
WHEREAS, These purchases have been designated as Unlisted actions pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that a short Environmental Assessment Form has been completed and, after review, it has been recommended that the Legislature determine that the Project will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature, that this Honorable Body has considered the recommendation and materials submitted and hereby determines that these purchases will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment pursuant to SEQRA, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the County of Albany any and all documents necessary to purchase the following parcels of real property located at the former College of St. Rose campus in the City of Albany for $5,700,000:
