AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH AXON ENTERPRISES INC. REGARDING DISCOVERY SOFTWARE

WHEREAS, The Assigned Counsel Program Administrator has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Axon Enterprises Inc. regarding discovery software for Assigned Counsel Program attorneys in the amount of $654,663 for the term commencing July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2031, and
WHEREAS, The Assigned Counsel Program Administrator has indicated that this software is necessary to allow Assigned Counsel Program attorneys to obtain discovery materials from the District Attorney’s Office, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Axon Enterprises Inc., Scottsdale, AZ 85255 regarding discovery software for Assigned Counsel Program attorneys in the amount of $654,663 for the term commencing July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2031, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
