RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 537 FOR 2025 AND ADOPTING THE ALBANY COUNTY BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 537 for 2025, this Honorable Body adopted the Tentative Annual Budget with additions and deletions as the Albany County Budget for fiscal year 2026, and
WHEREAS, Due to errors in the documents presented, the Adopted Budget contains defects which render it legally ineffective, and
WHEREAS, It is the position of this Honorable Body, in consultation and agreement with the Office of the County Executive and the Departments of Law and Management and Budget, that the appropriate action is to rescind Resolution No. 537 for 2025, and to re-adopt the Albany County Budget for fiscal year 2026 as referenced herein, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature, that Resolution No. 537 for 2025 regarding the adoption of the Albany County Budget, is hereby rescinded and repealed in its entirety, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the revised Tentative Annual Budget, with additions and deletions, a copy of which is on file with the Clerk of the Albany County Legislature and annexed hereto, is hereby adopted as the County Budget for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 2026, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature shall submit forthwith to the Albany County Executive the budget as adopted by this Honorable Body for his examination and consideration in accordance with the Albany County Charter, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
