AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE FOR THE AGING REGARDING THE NUTRITION SERVICES INCENTIVE PROGRAM

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Aging has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office for the Aging regarding the Nutrition Services Incentive Program in the amount of $119,986 for a term commencing October 1, 2025 and ending September 30, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that the funding is for the exclusive use of purchasing food for both congregate and home delivered meal services with the emphasis of providing foods of high nutritional value to older adults residing in Albany County, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office for the Aging regarding the Nutrition Services Incentive Program in the amount of $119,986 for a term commencing October 1, 2025 and ending September 30, 2026, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
