AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 60 SOUTH PEARL STREET (TAX MAP NO. 76.42-4-23) IN THE CITY OF ALBANY

WHEREAS, 60 South Pearl Street (Tax Map No. 76.42-4-23) in the City of Albany is owned by the County of Albany, and

WHEREAS, Liberty Park Development, LLC. has expressed an interest in acquiring the parcel and has offered to pay $1,489,000 for the property, and

WHEREAS, The County Executive's Office has indicated that Liberty Park Development, LLC intends to develop the parcel for economic development purposes, and

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 195 for 2025, this parcel of real property located at 60 South Pearl Street (Tax Map No. 76.42-4-23) in the City of Albany was deemed "no longer necessary for public use" pursuant to County Law ? 215 and ? 65-3 of the Albany County Code and is therefore eligible to be sold, and

WHEREAS, This sale has been designated an Unlisted action pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), and

WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that a short Environmental Assessment Form has been completed and, after review, it has been recommended that the Project will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Albany County Legislature has considered the recommendation and materials submitted and hereby determines that this sale will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment and hereby issues a negative declaration pursuant to SEQRA, and, be it further

RESOLVED, That the Albany County Legislature finds that this SEQRA designation and negative declaration does not constitute segmentation due to the speculative nature of future activities at the site or, if this SEQRA finding is considered segmentation, it is justified because it is no less protective of the environment ...
