AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH REGARDING REIMBURSEMENT FOR ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS PERTAINING TO THE EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM

WHEREAS, Pursuant to Article 25 of the Public Health Law, the local governments administer the Early Intervention Program for children under the age of three who have a confirmed disability or established developmental delay as defined by the State of New York subject to regulations of the Commissioner of Health, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Children, Youth and Families has requested authorization to enter into a five-year agreement with the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) regarding reimbursement for administrative costs regarding the provision of Early Intervention Program services in the amount of $818,860 for a term commencing October 1, 2021 and ending September 30, 2026, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into a five-year agreement with NYSDOH regarding reimbursement for administrative costs regarding the provision of Early Intervention Program services in an amount not to exceed $818,860 for a term commencing October 1, 2021 and ending September 30, 2026, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate State and County Officials.
