AUTHORIZING THE ADOPTION OF THE ALBANY COUNTY BROADWAY CORRIDOR MULTIMODAL TRANSPORTATION AND RESILIENCE STUDY

By Multimodal Transit and Pedestrian Access Committee, Beston, Ethier, Lane, Laurilliard and Ricard:

 

                     WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 207 for 2023, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with the Capital District Planning Commission, Albany, NY 12205, to accept an award to the County for the Albany County Broadway Corridor Multi-Modal Transportation and Resilience Study (Study) in the amount of $100,000, with a County match of $10,000, for a term commencing June 15, 2023 and ending December 14, 2025, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that the Study will identify and evaluate conceptual design alternatives that improve multi-modal transportation facilities and connectivity, increase the urban forest, and integrate green infrastructure and climate resiliency along the length of the Broadway/Route 32 Corridor from the City of Albany to the City of Watervliet, now, therefore, be it

 

                      RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to adopt the Study to provide greater opportunities for funding and implementation of the plan designs and concepts, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve the aforementioned Study as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County and municipal government Officials.
