AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH 14 PETRA LLC REGARDING THE ACQUISITION AND RENOVATION OF A PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 32 NORTH RUSSELL ROAD IN THE CITY OF ALBANY

By Audit and Finance Committee:
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 41 for 2026, this Honorable Body authorized the sale of 60 South Pearl Street in the City of Albany, which is the current location of the Albany County Department of Probation, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that a new location for the Department is necessary, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to purchase a parcel of real property located at 32 North Russell Road in the City of Albany as a new location for the Department of Probation, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has further requested that the current owner of the parcel of real property, 14 Petra LLC, make all necessary renovations to said parcels as a part of the sale in order for the space to meet the needs of the Department of Probation, in a total amount not to exceed $10,700,000, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with 14 Petra LLC., for the purchase and renovation of a parcel of real property located at 32 North Russell Road in the City of Albany in an amount not to exceed $10,700,000, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
