AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH LABELLA ASSOCIATES, DPC REGARDING PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES RELATED TO THE PREPARATION OF THE COUNTY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

WHEREAS, The Director of the Economic Development, Conservation, and Planning Department has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with LaBella Associates, DPC regarding professional consulting services related to the preparation of the County's Comprehensive Plan in an amount not to exceed $298,650 for a term commencing September 1, 2026 and ending August 31, 2028 with two one-year options to renew, and
WHEREAS, The Comprehensive Plan is intended to inform County decisions related to land use, housing, transportation, economic development, environmental stewardship, infrastructure investment, climate resiliency, public health, and intergovernmental coordination, and
WHEREAS, The Department reviewed eight proposals related to the evaluation of qualifications, technical approach, experience, project goals, team capacity and public engagement approach and selected LaBella Associates, DPC as the best qualified applicant, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with LaBella Associates, DPC, Latham, NY 12110 regarding professional consulting services related to the preparation of the County's Comprehensive Plan in an amount not to exceed $298,650 for a term commencing September 1, 2026 and ending August 31, 2028 with two one-year options to renew, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
