RESOLUTION NO. 104

 

AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CAPITAL REGION TRANSPORTATION COUNCIL REGARDING AN AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT SELF EVALUATION AND TRANSITION PLAN FOR PEDESTRIAN INFRASTRUCTURE

By Public Works Committee:

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Public Works has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the Capital Region Transportation Council (CRTC) regarding an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for Pedestrian Infrastructure in an amount not to exceed $2,000 for a term commencing March 1, 2025 and ending March 31, 2026, with a one-year renewal option, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that this study will assist with developing a list of infrastructure that is non-compliant with the ADA, identifying existing physical barriers to existing infrastructure, and prescribing methods to ensure compliance, and

 

WHEREAS, The CRTC will contribute $20,000 and act as project manager for the completion of this study, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the Capital Region Transportation Council, Albany, NY 12205 regarding an Americans with Disabilities Act Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for Pedestrian Infrastructure at a cost not to exceed $2,000 for a term commencing March 1, 2025 and ending March 31, 2026, with a one-year renewal option, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreements as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
