AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH WINN CONSTRUCTION SERVICES, INC. FOR THE BRIDGE SUPERSTRUCTURE REPLACEMENT OF CR405 (SUNSET HILL ROAD) OVER BASIC CREEK AND OLD RAVENA ROAD OVER COEYMANS CREEK BRIDGE SUPERSTRUCTURE REPLACEMENT PROJECT

                     By Public Works Committee and Mr. Miller:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Public Works has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Winn Construction Services, Inc. for the Construction of CR405 (Sunset Hill Rd.) Over Basic Creek and Old Ravena Road Over Coeymans Creek Bridge Superstructure Replacement Project in an amount not to exceed $1,388,801 for a term commencing May 1, 2022 and ending November 30, 2022, and

 

WHEREAS, The Albany County Purchasing Department issued a request for bids for the aforementioned project and three bids were received, and

 

WHEREAS, The Department engineering staff and Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. reviewed said bids and recommended Winn Construction Services, Inc. for the contract as the lowest responsible bidder, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Winn Construction Services, Inc., Waterford, NY 12188 for the Construction of CR405 (Sunset Hill Rd.) Over Basic Creek and Old Ravena Road Over Coeymans Creek Bridge Superstructure Replacement Project in an amount not to exceed $1,388,801 for a term commencing May 1, 2022 and ending November 30, 2022, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
