AUTHORIZING A LEASE PAYMENT REGARDING THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE OUTREACH CENTER LOCATED AT 155 CLINTON AVENUE IN THE CITY OF ALBANY

By Audit and Finance Committee:
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 70 for 2009, this Honorable Body authorized a
Memorandum of Understanding and a lease agreement with the Albany Housing Authority for a payment of $40,000 for office space at 155 Clinton Avenue which permits the District Attorney's Office to occupy the space rent free for five years and four months with a provision for one five-year renewal at a monthly rate of $625, and
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 495 for 2022, this Honorable Body authorized the payment authorized to make a payment in the amount of $21,016 to the Albany Housing Authority regarding the continued use of office space at 155 Clinton Avenue in the City of Albany from March 1, 2021 through February 28, 2023, and
WHEREAS, The District Attorney's Office has requested authorization to enter into a lease agreement with the Albany Housing Authority regarding the continued use of office space at 155 Clinton Avenue in the City of Albany from March 1, 2019 through February 29, 2024 with a lease payment of $10,000 for the first year with a 2% escalation for each successive year, with one five-year option to renew, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the District Attorney's Office is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Albany Housing Authority regarding the continued use of office space at 155 Clinton Avenue in the City of Albany from March 1, 2019 through February 29, 2024, in an amount of $10,000 for the first year with a 2% escalation for each successive year, with one five-year option to renew, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
