MAKING A SEQR DETERMINATION AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY IN THE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM AND AMENDING THE 2024 ALBANY COUNTY BUDGET

By Audit and Finance Committee, Commisso and Cleary:

WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to purchase from Albany LLC the following parcels of real property located in the Town of Bethlehem for an amount not to exceed $1,100,000:

26 Route 9W (Tax Map No. 87.03-2-3)
42 Route 9W (Tax Map No. 87.03-2-4)
Route 9W (Tax Map No. 87.03-2-5./2)

and

WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that said purchase will allow for the establishment of a regional police and firefighter training facility, and

WHEREAS, This purchase has been designated an Unlisted action pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), and

WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that a full Environmental Assessment Form has been completed and, after review, it has been recommended that the Legislature determine that this action will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment, and

WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that a budget amendment is necessary in order to complete the purchase, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature, that this Honorable Body has considered the recommendation and materials submitted and hereby determines that this purchase will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment pursuant to SEQRA, and, be it further

RESOLVED, That the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the County of Albany any and all documents necessary to purchase from Albany LLC the following parcels of real property located in the Town of Bethlehem for an amount not to exceed $1,100,000:

26 Route 9W (Tax Map No. 87.03-2-3)
42 Route 9W (Tax Map No. 87.03-2-4)
Route 9W (Tax Map No. 87.03-2-5./2)
