AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF MENTAL HEALTH REGARDING THE ADULT CRITICAL TIME INTERVENTION TEAMS GRANT

WHEREAS, The Director of Mental Health has requested authorization to submit a grant application to the New York State Office of Mental Health regarding the Adult Critical Time Intervention Teams Grant in an amount not to exceed $825,067 for a five-year term, and
WHEREAS, The Director has indicated that the grant funding will be used to establish an Intervention Team to target individuals encountering significant challenges and multiple disabilities, often identified as frequent users of emergency rooms and psychiatric emergency units, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to submit a grant application to the New York State Office of Mental Health regarding the Adult Critical Time Intervention Teams Grant in an amount not to exceed $825,067 for a five-year term, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said grant application as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
