AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS WITH NEW YORK STATE INDUSTRIES FOR THE DISABLED REGARDING CUSTODIAL SERVICES AT THE JUDICIAL CENTER AND FAMILY COURT BUILDINGS

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 435 for 2017, this Honorable Body authorized agreements with New York State Industries for the Disabled (NYSID) regarding custodial and janitorial services at the Judicial Center in an amount not to exceed $379,211 and the Family Court building in an amount not to exceed $392,925 for a term commencing January 1, 2018 and ending December 31, 2021, with two additional one-year renewal options, and

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of General Services has requested authorization to execute an agreement with NYSID, the first of two additional one-year renewal options, regarding custodial and janitorial services at the Judicial Center in an amount not to exceed $153,058 and the Family Court building in an amount not to exceed $157,282 for a term commencing January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2022, with one additional one-year renewal option, and

WHEREAS, It was indicated that the NYS Unified Court System will reimburse the County at applicable rates for said services during the term and any additional one-year renewal period, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into agreements with NYSID, Albany, NY 12203 regarding custodial and janitorial services at the Judicial Center in an amount not to exceed $153,058 and the Family Court building in an amount not to exceed $157,282 for a term commencing January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2022, with one additional one-year renewal option, and, be it further

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
