AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 284 FOR 2021 REGARDING AN INTERDEPARTMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT FOR CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES AND THE PROBATION DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 284 for 2021, this Honorable Body authorized an interdepartmental agreement between the Department for Children, Youth and Families and the Probation Department regarding prevention, supervision and treatment services for juveniles in an amount not to exceed $1,116,459 for a term commencing January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2022, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Children, Youth and Families has requested an amendment to the aforementioned agreement regarding the provision of Project Advance programming and services in the amount of $96,668 for a total amount of $1,213,127 rather than $1,116,459, and
WHEREAS, Project Advance is a restorative juvenile criminal justice program designed to provide internship opportunities for juvenile delinquents and Persons in Need of Supervision youth some of which may need to make restitution payments to their victims, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 284 for 2021 is hereby amended to indicate a total amount of $1,213,127 rather than $1,116,459, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward
certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
