AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH M & T BANK FOR BANKING SERVICES

By Audit and Finance Committee:
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 401 for 2016 this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with M & T Bank regarding professional banking services for the Department of Audit and Control for a term commencing November 5, 2016 through November 14, 2019, with two one-year options to renew, and
WHEREAS, The Albany County Comptroller has requested authorization to exercise the first of the optional one year extensions and to enter into an agreement with M & T Bank regarding professional services for a term commencing November 15, 2019 and ending November 14, 2020 according to the terms and fee arrangements specified in the firm’s Request for Proposals (RFP) response, and
WHEREAS, The Comptroller has indicated that the contract extension is necessary as it will allow the Department of Audit and Control to retain banking services which are vital in allowing it to conduct its day to day operations, now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with M & T Bank, Albany, NY 12207 regarding professional banking services for the Department of Audit and Control for a term commencing November 15, 2019 and ending November 14, 2020, according to the terms and fee arrangements specified in the firm’s Request for Proposals (RFP) response and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of the resolution the appropriate County Officials.
