AUTHORIZING A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING HALL OF FAME AT THE MVP ARENA

WHEREAS, The International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame has indicated an interest in leasing 1,500 square feet of space at the MVP Arena in accordance with the terms and conditions approved by the County Attorney, and
WHEREAS, The rental rate for this lease is $0 per month for years one and two, $500 per month for years three through five, and $200 per month for utilities for all five years of the lease, and
WHEREAS, The tenant wishes to educate the public about the origins and growth of the industry over the years by creating a historical museum with memorabilia and many fascinating items for fans and families who visit MVP Arena, and
WHEREAS, The term of said agreement to lease the space shall be for a period of five years commencing on February 1, 2022 and ending on January 31, 2027, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into a five-year lease agreement with The International Wrestling Hall of Fame, Catskill, NY 12412 to lease 1,500 square feet of space at the MVP Arena pursuant to the aforementioned terms, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said lease agreement as to form and content prior to the execution thereof, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
