AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF TEMPORARY AND DISABILITY ASSISTANCE REGARDING GRANT FUNDING AND AMENDING THE 2025 DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES BUDGET

                     By Social Services Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Social Services has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) regarding grant funding to the Family-Centered Case Management Program (FCCMP) for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) in an amount of $496,153 for a term commencing July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026, and

 

                     WHEREAS, FCCMP staff will support the needs of TANF families whose circumstances require intensive case management to achieve financial stability and independence, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner has also requested a budget amendment to incorporate a portion of said funds into the 2025 Department of Social Services Budget, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance regarding grant funding to the Family-Centered Case Management Program for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families  in an amount of $496,153 for a term commencing July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the 2025 Department of Social Services Budget is amended as follows:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
