AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRIC SERVICE, INC. REGARDING THE REPLACEMENT OF A FAILED VOLTAGE SWITCH AT THE DISTRICT'S NORTH PLANT AND AMENDING THE 2023 WATER PURIFICATION DISTRICT BUDGET

WHEREAS, The Director of the Water Purification District has requested to enter into an agreement with High Voltage Electric Service, Inc. regarding the replacement of a voltage switch at the District's North Plant in an amount not to exceed $270,525 for a term commencing July 1, 2023 and ending September 30, 2023, and

WHEREAS, The Director has indicated that an emergency contract with High Voltage Electric Service, Inc. was necessary for the replacement of a voltage switch that failed at the District's North Plant and that an insurance claim was filed for the cost of the equipment replacement, and

WHEREAS, The Director has also indicated that an amendment to the 2023 Water Purification District Budget is necessary to accept the approved insurance claim amount of $260,525, minus the County's deductible of $10,000, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with High Voltage Electric Service, Inc., Albany, NY 12203 regarding the replacement of a failed voltage switch at the District's North Plant in an amount not to exceed $270,525 for a term commencing July 1, 2023 and ending September 30, 2023, and, be it further

RESOLVED, That 2023 Water Purification District Budget is amended as follows:

Increase Revenue Account G8130 0 2770 Other Unclassified Revenues by $260,525

Increase Appropriation Account G8130.4 by $260,525 by increasing line item G8130 4 4070 Equipment Repair by $260,525
