RESOLUTION NO. 222

 

AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CAPITAL DISTRICT TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE REGARDING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPLETE STREETS SYMPOSIUM

                     By Health Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Health has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the Capital District Transportation Committee (CDTC) regarding development and implementation of transportation and community plans that promote walking in an amount not to exceed $20,000 for a term commencing August 1, 2023 and ending March 31, 2024, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated CDTC will convene a Complete Streets Symposium to help transportation planning practitioners and decision makers identify and overcome barriers to implementing Complete Streets which are designed and operated to enable safe access for all users, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that this contract will be funded by the Closing the Gap with Social Determinants of Health Accelerator Plans Grant funding, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Capital District Transportation Committee regarding development and implementation of transportation and community plans that promote walking in an amount not to exceed $20,000 for a term commencing August 1, 2023 and ending March 31, 2024, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
