AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 347 FOR 2024 REGARDING THE FOURTH UPSTATE QUALITY IMPROVEMENT AND CASELOAD REDUCTION GRANT

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 347 for 2024, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with the New York State Office of Indigent Legal Services regarding the Fourth Upstate Quality Improvement and Caseload Reduction Grant in the amount of $300,000 for the term commencing July 1, 2023 and ending June 30, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Public Defender has requested authorization to amend this agreement to reflect a term ending date of December 31, 2026 to allow the Public Defender’s Office to utilize the entirety of the grant funding, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 347 for 2024 is hereby amended to reflect a term ending date of December 31, 2026 rather than June 30, 2026, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said amendment as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
