AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS REGARDING THE EXPANDED IN-HOME SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY PROGRAM

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Social Services has requested authorization to enter into agreements with twelve service providers regarding the Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program (EISEP) in the amount of $1,092,400 for the term commencing April 1, 2023 and ending March 31, 2024, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner indicated that the providers will administer EISEP services for eligible seniors to allow them to remain in their homes and will be paid the higher of the New York State Department of Health established rates or the County negotiated rate, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into agreements with the following twelve providers regarding EISEP services in an amount not to exceed $1,092,400 for the term commencing April 1, 2023 and ending March 31, 2024:

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreements as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
