MAKING A SEQR DETERMINATION AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 52 HOWARD STREET (TAX MAP NO. 76.42-1-12.1) IN THE CITY OF ALBANY AND AMENDING THE 2024 ALBANY COUNTY BUDGET

WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to purchase a parcel of real property located at 52 Howard Street (Tax Map No. 76.42-1-12.1) in the City of Albany from Howard Parking Garage LLC for $235,000, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that said purchase will allow for additional parking space for County employees at 112 State Street, and,
WHEREAS, This purchase has been designated an Unlisted action pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that a short Environmental Assessment Form has been completed and, after review, it has been recommended that the Legislature determine that the Project will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that a budget amendment is necessary in order to complete the purchase, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature, that this Honorable Body has considered the recommendation and materials submitted and hereby determines that this purchase will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment pursuant to SEQRA, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the County of Albany any and all documents necessary to purchase a parcel of real property located at 52 Howard Street (Tax Map No. 76.42-1-12.1) in the City of Albany from Howard Parking Garage LLC for $235,000, and, be it further
RESOLVED That the 2024 Albany County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
